Local Lives, Changed by You

July 2026 brings new hope for several cats currently under our specialty care. Your support during this contest provides the medical interventions like these to cats that desperately need help.

Howell

Howell receiving specialized medical care and attention.

Howell went for a dental and three canines were removed. Ā He also had a second opinion about removing his "tiny eye". They said he does not have entropion. Ā He can keep his eye. Ā Removing it would be purely cosmetic. Ā He is now available for adoption

Baby Spice

Baby Spice during a diagnostic medical observation session.

Baby Spice was hospitalized for a few days, bloodwork, rads, and ultrasound were completed. Ā She is now on budesonide for her GI Tracht, it has made a world of difference. Ā She also went for a cardio exam and echo. Ā They said her heart is bigger but it could have been from a short course of prednisolone before the budesonide came in. Ā Either way, she was requested to go back in six months for another recheck. No meds for her heart at this time.

Wilson

Wilson responding well to new therapeutic care protocols.

Wilson underwent a partial dental to help with his pain from tooth reabsorption and stomatitis. Ā While doing dental rads they found a cyst around the root. Ā The veterinarian said that he needs to consult with an oral surgeon to confirm that he can proceed or if he needs a specialty dentist. He also said he would need to stay under longer so he didn't want to attempt to tackle the right side. Ā He will go back for additional labs and dental work.Ā

Nick

Nick receiving specialized dental recovery treatment.

Nick's heart seems stable. Ā They are optimistic that he can live a long life without his heart going into failure. Ā They. have him at a 9-12 month recheck schedule and cleared him for adoption! Ā If you think you could be the perfect family for Nick, contact us for more information.

JalapeƱo

JalapeƱo undergoing advanced orthopedic diagnostic care.

Jalapeño went for his cardio exam and echo. His heart was pretty stable, though one view was a bit enlarged from last scan.  She recommended he go from18 month in-between back to 9 months.

Your support brings hope and healing to cats in need.
